Whinging Puns - Brian & Krysstal - Adelaide Fringe 2010

Whinging Puns Review - Australian Stage 2010

"Wonderful silliness, some cute songs, some political incorrectness, some sick vomit and poo jokes and a lot of originality. It is all done with that intangible panache, subtlety and ability to laugh at one's self that is quintessential to British humour."

Peter Bleby - Australian Stage

Brian and Krysstal: Whinging Puns

Pure unadulterated silliness. UK's ever-popular Brian & Krysstal doing what they do best, stand up, songs, characters, moaning. 'as daft and charming as they are funny' Stage UK. 'Always enjoyable.... I laughed like a drain' Chortle.co.uk "intelligent comedy, downright dirty stuff and silly songs" SXNews, Syd

Since 2000 UK comedians BRIAN and KRYSSTAL have entertained audiences in locations far and wide at comedy clubs, theatres, arts centres, hotels and bars. They do festivals, corporate and private functions. The pair regularly headline comedy and cabaret nights with their unconventional vaudeville-style act, punctuated by silly songs, the odd bit of Spanish dancing, some characters and loads of belly laughs.

They have performed in Europe (Berlin, Barcelona, Denmark, Ireland, Malta), South Africa and Australia. Other major festival appearances include the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (8 seasons), Glastonbury, Woodford (QLD), Ludlow Arts Fest (4 seasons) London, Cambridge, Nottingham and Leicester Comedy Festivals, and others.

REVIEWS:

'excellent but grumpy Brian ... his material is very dry, his charm infectious"

IC Scotland.co.uk (Edinburgh Festival)

"Oh how I laughed. Hurrah." (Claire Smith, The Scotsman)

'[they] have over the years perfected their performance together.'

(Ollie Wilson, Edinburgh Festival)

"I laughed so much I nearly blew a kidney out me arse"

(Happy audience member)

Brian & Krysstal also run and compere their own comedy clubs in both London and Edinburgh*. Pear Shaped Comedy Club offers comedians the chance to perform in a friendly non-threatening environment. Comedians new and old have enjoyed performing at Pear Shaped over the years and also at its predecessor, the Oval Comedy Club. The duo also host a monthly variety night in Cambridge called Off the Wall, a night well suited to their talents. * during the Festival

Brian is infamously grumpy and Krysstal is infamously glamorous but ditzy. The combination is unique and funny. Their timing is exquisite and their humour dry, silly and sometimes a little bawdy.
